Founded in 1906 The Manchester Hosiery Manufacturing Company, makers of the Palm brand has gained national and international prestige as producers of fine quality knitted garments with a reputation for reliability and high standards.

The company was formed by a group of industrialists from the textile towns of Manchester and Hinckley. The company was acquired by a Hinckley family in the 1930's and was sold in the late 1980's to a consortium of businessmen who are its present owners.

Whilst concentrating on the UK home market for many years, the company has now expanded its operations and exports worldwide and is renown for both the comfortable styling and the excellent durability of its knitted thermal garments.
